Kingsbridge Park is all about nature and the joy of playing tennis. With tennis facilities for everyone – all ages, all abilities and a community hall, Kingsbrisge Park is often occupied with citizens rejuvenating and playing tennis to the fullest.
Project Summary
City of Wanneroo appointed Arnowa to deploy its smart technology at Kingsbrisge Park, Butler to convert it into a smart area to significantly improve its energy efficiency. Execution of this project converted the Park and all its areas into a smart ecosystem that can easily be monitored and managed through a simple dashboard at the click of a button. The constant monitoring and the data collected through it can guide officials to make informed decisions about its resource utilization and study the general daily consumption patterns.
Challenge
City of Wanneroo’s Kingsbridge Park is a leisure activity park that boasts state of the art tennis facilities and a large community hall amongst well maintained green areas. With several citizens accessing its facilities throughout the day regularly, it becomes difficult to effectively manage the overall energy consumption of all areas while ensuring efficient consumption of electricity. This leads to excess usage in areas where it isn’t required and leads to wastage of resources and high costs with no system in place to monitor these resources and verify its use.
Unceasing usage of these resources in such a widespread facility that uses numerous electrical devices and equipment that consume high electricity also lead to high amount of carbon emissions that have a negative impact on the environment.
The challenge was to improve Kingsbridge Park’s resource utilization such that minimum amount of electricity is consumed while providing maximum satisfaction Solution.
Data collected from various sensors and weather stations were visualized on a dashboard, and different relations were drawn by using ARNOWA’s CARBON cloud computing and data analytics software.
Objective
To deliver a smart ecosystem that efficiently manages and monitors the overall energy consumption of Kingsbridge Park and hence optimizes its resource utilization and minimize energy costs without having an impact on its ongoing operations.
Solution
Arnowa’s smart monitoring system will provide real-time energy consumption data of all areas of Kingsbridge Park. This data will help provide valuable insights. The installed smart devices will be accessible through Arnowa’s easy to use dashboard that will allow the Park authorities to simultaneously manage the desired regions at the click of a finger while at the same time deliver them with real time data and consumption patterns. This will be significantly helpful in recognizing potential opportunities for improvement of energy usage, quantifying return on investment (ROI) for such improvements, effectiveness of any energy efficiency initiatives implemented and for tenant management and transparent billing at the facility. This will also help bolster accountability for different users and help in transparently sharing resources for efficient use.
Results
Arnowa through its turnkey solutions and smart technology was able to overcome the proposed challenges and thereby increase the overall energy efficiency of Kingsbridge Park. Installation and application of our smart devices resulted in significant increase in the overall energy efficiency while reducing the carbon footprint, thereby not only benefitting the Park but also the environment. Our smart ecosystem and dashboard have been successful in helping the Park monitor the utilization of its resources in real-time and hence manage and optimize their resource consumption while reducing their energy costs.
